Mails close at the Kaikoura Post Office as follows : For Waiau and Christchurch, overland, at 7 a.m. on Monday Wednesday and Friday. For Clarence Bridge, Kekerangu and Blenheim, Thursdays at 7 a.m. .For Port Robinson and Lyttelton, by sea, according to the steamer’s running. For Wellington, by sea. an hour efore steamer leaves. POSTAL NOTES. Postal Notes for fixed sums payable on demand are issued aiid paid at all Money Order Offices in New Zealand. The poundage is as follows Is, id; Is 6d, Id ; 3s, Id ; ss, l|d ; 10s, 3d ; £l, 3d ; £5, 6d. MONEY ORDERS. Within New Zealand—Up to £5 6d ; £lO, Is ; £l5, Is 6d ; £2O, 2s. Australia, Cook Islands, Samoa, and Fiji—Up to £2, 6d ;£sls : £7. Is 6d ; £lO, 2s f £l2, 2s 6d ; £l5, 3s ; £l7, 3s 6d ; £2O, 4s. ’ United Kingdom, United States, Canada, etc.—od for each £1 or fraction thereof.
