I RESPECTFULLY - desire to draw the attention of the Runholders and Sheepfarmers of Kaikoura and surrounding; District to the splendid market which exists on Cheviot for stock of all descriptions, and at all seasons of the year. Practically the whole of the surplus sheep raised on Cheviot are sent direct to the freezing works at Belfast or Islington. In fact the Cheviot farmers are always large buyers in other markets of sheep for fattening purposes, and it is obvious that Cheviot is the natural market for the Kaikoura surplus stock. < /'» , The only difficulty is the Waiau river; but, pending the erection of the bridge, for which it is expected tenders will shortly be called, arrangements can always be made for carting sheep across in wagons at Parnassus at very low rates, and some thousands of sheep have been crossed in this manner. Auction Sales Are held in my Yards-, Mackenzie, every fortnight during the busy season, and I have ample paddocking accommodation always available at the lowest possible scale of charges. I trust, therefore, that the Sheepfarmers of Kaikoura District may see the advantage of sending consignments this forthcoming season to test our market here, and I can assure them that no efforts will be wanting on my part to obtain most satisfactory results, with prompt returns, fryany stock placed in my hands for sale. 1 I would point out that shoulc?
