DURBAN, March 28 The Consul for Transvaal at Lorenso Marques fined 200 guineas for indirectly importing heliographs and other contraband tor his Govt. Davitt at Delagoa Bay. CHRISTCHURCH, March 29 A detective went to Lyttelton yesterday armed with warrant for arrest of a member of Contingent on board the Gymeric on charge of being about to leave the Colony without finding surety for fulfilment of maintenance order. Colonel Sommerville forbade arrest, as police had no authority to apprehend men on troopship under Imperial Army Act.
