Boag, Esq., Christchurch (Foaled October, 1890) BY CONQUEROR Conqueror won First Prize at the Christchurch A. and P. Show, 1889, as a 3-year-old. His sire, Pride of Scotland, imported (602”), the winner of a great many prizes tu Scotland, in fact never was beaten, was the champion horse in Canterbury for years. The same might be said of his stock. One mare bred by Air Bong, sired by Pride ot Scotland, took Gold Medal at Metropolitan show in Victoria. Conqueror’s dam, Gentle, by Renfrew Jock (imported), Horn Victoria. Gentle’s dam, Betsy, by Thane of Clyde, imported from Scotland. 'bhe dam of Chief of Avon is Duchess of Salisbury (566), by Lord Salisbury (114), imported. Dant Maggie Bell, by ivaulioe (113 —388*), imported. Dam Scotch Annie (549*) imported.
