During week 28,000 bales of wool have been offered, and 24,000 sold. Prices show no improvement, highest for greasy being 7fd per lb, and for scoured llj.d LONDON, Nov 8 Two-thirds of shipment of eggs by steamer Ballarat were broken by frost, and though remainder arrived in good condition, consignment was rendered unsaleable owing to breakages. N.Z. 4 per cent, inscribed stock, 106|; 3| ditto, 101|. N.Z. long-berried wheat, ex warehouse, 24s market firmer ; South Australian wheat, 255, fiat; Victorian wheat 24s 6d. Frozen mutton —First quality, 2|d, Lamb—First quality, sd. Hemp unchanged. Mutton thawed by Nelson’s process realised fd per lb more than that by ordinary means. Experts consider it will not pay Victorians to ship eggs to England, owing to cheapness at which Russian and Italian eggs can be imported.
