Addington Market.
Messrs Pyne & Co report on Wednesday’s market as follows: Christchurch, Thursday At Addington yesterday all classes of stock were well represented, and bidding, especially in fat sbeep, was spirited. Best crossbreds made from 17/6 to 19/-, and up to 23/- for extra heavy Downs cross wethers. Freezers made 15/6 to 16/6d. Merino wethers, best, 14/6 to 16/- ; medium 10/- to 11/-. Merino ewes 7/- to 8/-. Store sheep.—Crossbred ewes in lamb 8/9 to 11/7 ; two tooths Up to 12/10; hoggets 8/6 to 10/10d Fat cattle. —Prices were about even to last week.
Dairy cattle were in good demand; Cows sold well, and a good enquiry ie expected from Cheviot for dairy stock and young stock of all sorts.
