A Fiendish Attempt.

Hobart: Attempt made to wreck a train on Derwent Valley line. Information shows that permanent-way man, named Holiinsworth, while walking along length of line near Plenty station, 30 miles from Hobart, discovered line broken up—fish plates removed, and rails lifted—Tor 3 or 4 miles.

Holiinsworth attempted to capture man near the spot, and was shot in the hand, one finger being blown oft.
