Addington Market.
CHRISTCHURCH, July 19 Messrs Pyne & Co report on Wednesday’s market as follows: Full market at Addington yesterday. Last week’s prices fully maintained till towards close of sale, when bidding became lifeless.
Prime freezers made 14s to 15s 6d, extra heavy crossbreds wethers up to 17s 6d and 19s 6d. Two tooth wethers and maiden ewes 13s and up to 14s 6d, fat ewes lOs to 12s 6d. Merino wethers made 7s to 10s Id, In store sheep there was an empty market.
Fat cattle.—Owing to high prices during last few weeks there was a very heavy market, and values dropped to about 23s per 100. Best bullocks made up to £lO 15s; good steers £8 to £9 ; lighter weights £7 ; fat cows £6 to £7 10, Good dairy cows are selling fairly well. Store cattle were utterly neglected. Pigs.—Good baconers from 35s to 48s; porkers 23s fid to 30s,
