On Friday, in Council, Revision Committee recommended Printers and Newspapers Registration Bill be not proceeded with, but report ordered it be proceeded with on Tuesday. Jenkinson asked Govt to print in the Labor Journal information regarding Trade Unions and Labor Bodies useful to wage earners.

Rigg moved that hours of labor for library employees be reduced, and that wages be increased, lowest to receive 10s a day. Previous question carried. Second reading Divorce Act Amendment Bill moved. Debate adjourned until Wednesday.

In House, Massey asked Minister for Labor if articles, ‘ How to Help Unemployed ’ and ‘ Socialistic Colony in Peru,’’ in Muy number of Labor Journal, were published with his approval. Minister replied in the affirmative, defending the articles. Discussion followed occupying all afternoon, speeches generally approving of conduct and value of Journal. In evening Auctioneers Act Amendment Bill passed through Committee. Proposal to allow country auctioneers to sell till 9 o’clock at night in summer was lost.

Prescription Law (light) Amendment Bill, Lunatics Act Amendment Bill, and the Taonui Branch Railway Bill passed. Standing Orders further considered. Much time was wasted, the Opposition appealing frequently for adjournment. At length some progress was made and House adjourned at 2.40 a.m.
