THE KAIKOURA STAR.
NOTICE TO CORRESPODENTS We ivite correspondence on all matter tending to promote the welfare of district and on subjects of general interest. Out columnsbeing freely open for the ventilation and discussion of all questions on public interest, with the exception of heological subjects. All we exact is that correspondence shall be truthful and temperate: entirely free from all offensive personalties. Letters for publication must in all cases bear the signature of the writer, not necessarily for pubb'eation, but as a guarantee of good faith. We shall always endeavour to insert letters in the first issue after the receipt of the communication, but do not guarantee their appearance in the earliest publication. Letters should be written on one side of be paper only. Letters for insertion must be addressed to the Editor, and all business communications to the Proprietor, Kaikoura Star. Hints to Correspondents: The following memoranda are submitted to correspondents of the Kaikoura Star as suggestive of subjects upon which com munications are desired: Progress and Settlemen' in the district. Progress of Public Works, New Buildings, &c. Agricultural Operations; - State of Crops; Introduction or Sale of Stock, &c. Horticultural and Floricultura. Suggestions as to what Industries might profitably be undertaken in the district. Accidents and Offences. State ot Roads, Bridges, &c. Public Wants and Grievances NOTICE. PROMOTERS of entertainments, fete etc, must in all cases forward us, in sufficient time, the usual complimentary invitation, if they desire any notices to appear in the columns of the Stvk.
