LONDON, June 20
Terrible tragedy reported from South Shields. A seaman, named Goodwin, and his son were found with their throats cut, and Mrs Goodwin with her head battered in. It is believed that Goodwin murdered his wife and son and then committed suicide.
Sir G. Grey was entertained at a luncheon by the National Liberal Club. At a meeting of 2000 Liberal delegates, resolution was carried demanding abolition of power of veto possessed bv House of Lords.
