Licensing Matters.
WELLINGTON, June 11
Masterton publicans have entered into compact union to strictly close their hotels against public on Sundays. At Clutha, Hawkins, S.M., ruled that in consequence of Licensing Committee having decided beforehand not to grant any licenses before hearing applications they could not deal with them. He considered and granted three wholesale licenses himself.
