Proceedings at Miner’s Conference has been stormy throughout, owing to jealousy of Continental Unions, on account of the fact that British delegates represent more miners than all the rest. Much impatience was manifestediat practical character of British delegates proposals, and their masterful and scornful treatment of some of French, Belgian and German proposals. On a divergence of the subject of a living wage, when it was evident that Britain would out vote all the other delegates, there was great uproar and cries that Britain dominated the Conference. Great confusion resulted. British delegates retired, and returned home after havbeen in conflict with the Foreigners throughout the day. NEW YORK, May 19
