Oxygen when frozen loses all its wellknown properties of supporting combustion and decay ; even phosporous fails to burn in it. Liquid oxygen is pale blue in colour; liquir air is paler. Liquid air offers four times the resistance to electric current that gaseous air does, and when a magnet is held to it the mutual attraction is like that between the magnet and its armature.
