Cabmen’s strike.

LONDON, May 16 Cabmen's strike begun. Men stationed strong packs to overawe new hands.

May 17 Number of masters have accepted cabmen’s terms. Two hundred men on strike overturned a hansom in Park Lane, breaking the driver's leg.

Residents of West London and travellers by railway are those most inconvenienced by the strike. Several masters wno are included in dispute refuse to let their cabs, fearing violence may be attempted on the part of strikers.

The Press, generally, take the part of the men on strike, and concur in opinion that supply of cabs is excessive.
