MELBOURNE, May 9 Govt are preparing Bill withdrawing right to issue notes from banks, and providing for issue of notes by State only. Justice Holroyd, in delivering judgment re Federal Bank, said a careful perusal of the evidence induced strong impression that the Bank was used by majority, at least, of Directors for their own convenience, and that of friends, without regard to the interest of shareholders.
