‘New Australia.’

LONDON, May 8 Pope, a former resident of Adelaide, writing to Sir J. C Bray from Buenos Ayres, under date of the 12th April, reports that John Currie had just arrived at Paraguay with news that Gilbert Casey was heading movement to remove Lane from the leadership of New Australia settlement. Letter also states that people who went to Gonzalez colony in December are starving, and that second batch of 20 men have left settlement owing to pressure of agrarian interest.
