SYDNEY, May 2 Horses ridden by Barraba murderers fully indentified. One of them was given to Cummins to train as a racer. Owing to depressed condition of railway revenue, Railway Commissioners have decided to return to the Treasury a tithe of their salaries, placing themselves on the same footing* as their employers with regard to retrenchment. ‘ New Australia ’ authorities here ridicule report from Argentine that Lane has been deposed from the leadership. They explain that some three weeks ago Lane cabled asking whether he should declare the new constitution. Trustees here answered in the affirmative, and, consequently, Lane resigned after making the declaration. The colony is now being governed by Provisional committee until election of new officers.
