Approaching Marriages.

Invitations have been issued by Mr and Mrs W. Davidson, The Poplars, Kohai, to witness the marriage of their nephew, Mr Fred Workman, to Miss Olive Sankey. The nuptials are set down for the 9ih of May, at the Presbyterian Church. Anotner marriage to take place locally—next week, we understand—is that of Miss Helen Cox to Mr Wilfrid Morris.

There is, of course, some one will say, a third on the list. It is to be the first celebrated, however, but not in Kaikoura. Mr S. G. Haine proceeds South, by the Wakatu, to be married to Miss Milburn.

Here the heavy father of the play comes in with, • Bless you, my children, bless you." The rice and slippers follow.
