Arrestt of Spencer Balfour.
BUENOS AYRES, Jan 23 Spencer Balfour, ex-M.P. for Burnley, who has been wanted in London for last 15 months in connection with Liberator Building Company’s frauds, has been arrested by direction of British Consul, and starts for England on Saturday. Balfour was attempting to escape into Bolivia when arrested. Latest BUENOS AYRES, Jan : 24 At Suita, Balfour obtained writ of habeas corpus from the Federal Court demanding that th Argentine Govt justify his arrest. A detective from Scotland Yard with six warrants for Balfour’s arrest was seat from London.
