CHALLENGE.— I, ROBERT POWELL, hereby challenge Andrew Rutherford, of Mendip Hills, to a contest to a finish with 4oz gloves, in a 24ft ring, under Marquis of Qneensbiiry rules, in the Town Hall, Kaikoura. The challenger is indifferent as to the disparity in age. and quite agreeable to concede 3st in weight, with a fair field. Stake to be £2O aside, the gate money to go to the Canterbury Charitable Aid Board, Sporting Editor of N. Z. Referee to be stake-holder; seconds and referee to be mutually chosen.
