Last Saturday's mai ket report is as follows:—A considerable demand, principally from country districts, has existed lor prime old potatoes, and good samp es have been quitted at up to 40s per ton. Flour market is in a very unhealthy sta e, and any semblance of a fixed rate for ro ler brands is quite a thing of the past, and quotations rule from £lO per ton. Good sheaf chaff is in demand at 90s per ton. For other lines the ordinary enquiry exists. Prime short oats, 2s 3Jd to 2s 4d ; long feed, 2s 2d to 2s 3d ; o itmeal, £lO to £ll ; stone process flour, £9 to £9 10s; whole fowls’ wueat, 2s 6d ; onions are scarce, and worth up to £l5 per ton ; podard, 85s; bran, 755; hams and bacon. 6jd ; fresh butter plentiful at 8d ; eggs in full supply at 8d per d -z ; new potaio s in fair r<quest at Id per lb. Poultry in fair request. Fowls command 3s 6<l to 4s ; ducks, 4s; geese 6s; turkeys, 7s per pair. Fungus in good demand at 2d per lb..
