[PEB PJJEB3 ASSOCIATION.] Dunedin, November 29, Considerable damage was done on 'J'uesday night to the Mat aura telegraph by li»litning. A telegraph post within a few yards of tbe office was shattered into fragments and three cells of batterys were burst in the ease, A chesou was charged with incest, The chtirge was dismissed the child being over 12 years of age. Horrible revelations were made. The Magistrate in dismissing prisoner designated him a polluted sc uudrel. Wellington, November 29. J t was reported about town to-*day that H is Excellency the Governor had received by the last mail a despatch from the S cretary of State for the Colonies conrcung official intimation that Her Majesty was pleased to confer on two exjudges — Justice Gressou and Justice Chapmau the title of honorable, for life, within the colony of New Zealand.
