GEIITIFIOATES OF TITLH ARE ABSOLUTELY INDEFEASIBLE. ALL TITLES ARE GUARANTEED BI THE GOVERNMENT. On all Conveyances by Deed under the old system, the cost of registration in tho' Deeds Registry, over and above the Solicitor's charge, is never less than Fifteen Shillings, frequently wry much more ; while land which has been bought. under the provisions of "The Land Transfer Act" can be transferred at v totol cost of Eleven Shillings whero a whole se Jlitm is conveyed; and whero only partis conveyed (and therefore a fresh Certiiienlo of Title is recessitatcd), of Thirity-onc Shillings, which is tho highest sum allowed by tho Act, no matter what the value or area of tho land. Under the Regulations in force on and after tho Ist January, 187£>, the chorgo for Certificates of Titlos issued upon JJemoranrlu of Transfer is reduced to Ten Shillings in all uses whero the value of the land is under Ten Pounds. The total cost of executing a mortgage or lease of land, registered under tho Act, is Twelve Shillings, no matter what the amount involved.
