The usual monthly meeting of the IIos« pital Committee was held at tho Secretary's office, on Monday the sth instant : Present, Messrs Brennan, (Chairman) Oxley, Aikcn, Connolly, Wise, Bayfeild Byrne. Tho minutes of tho previous meeting was read and confirmed. A letter from Dr Martin resign* ing his appointment, and giving three months' notico was read and received. Medical Officer's report read and received. Proposed by Mr Byrne, secondod by Mr Aiken, "That the Medical Officer's resignation be accepted with regret." Resolution withdrawn. Proposed by Mr Osley, seconded by Mr Wise, " That the Secretary write to De Martin requesting him to re-cousidor his decision, and withdraw his resignation, and that a speoinl meeting bo called for Wednesday ufc 8 p.m., to receiro his answer."
