These charges also represent tho cost of Conveying Land. Inasmuch ns applicants to bring land under the Act can direct tho Certificates of Titlo to issue in tho names of any other persons. Credit for Fees is Given, When desired by the Apj. licant in all cases where the proprietor applies to have tho lane? registered under the Act in his own nainej and the fees may remain unpaid until land is dealt with. , Any person, therefore, who wislios to { his land under tho provisions of the Act, order that whenever ho deals with it he be in a position to avail himself of facilities all'orded by having a Registered Title, ciin do so Without Any Present Cost, by allowing tho fees to remain unpaid until Biich dealing takes place, lie will then bo in a position to Mortgage, Trahsl'ur, Lease, or otherwise deal with his laud at a moment's notice. Any Title, however long and complex, may be investigated at a cost to the x Applicant , of only Five Shillings j for if the Title is reecled all fees aro returned, with tho exceptior of that amount. On all Conveyances by Deed under the old gystcm, the cost of registration in the Deeds iiegistry, over and above the Solicitor's charge, is never 1e99 than Fifteen Shillings, frequently very much more 5 while land which has been bought under tho provisions of " Tho Land Transfer Act" can be transferred at a total cost of Eleven Shillings whero a whole so Jtion is conveyed ; and where only part is conveyed (and therefore a fresh Certificate of Titlo is t'cccesitated), of Thirity-one Shillings, which is tho highest sum, allowed by the Act, no matter what the yalue or area of tho laud. Under tho Regulations in lorce on and alter tho Ist January, 1875^ tho charge for Certificates of Titles issued upon Memoranda of Transfer is reduced to 'len Shillings in all caees where tho value of the land ia under Ton founds. A mortgage may bo transferred or discharged, or a lease transferred or earrcudured lor Jj'ivo Shillings.
