From .the pale lips of an excited crowd, Close by the river bank— l 'shrieked aloud. And to the spot with frantic terror rushed, Kind hands would have detained me, but 1 . Thei?erasp aside, nnd forced a passage through 'JV assembled throng : roil to the ri«r Hew,. But, oh, Great God! the fearful sight that met , , Mv striclam gaze, it haunts my tncmry yet.
