Wnitoon District by Whitaker, junior, and by Jcmos Mackay, Government Lund Parehase- Cbairai&iioner in the purchase or other negotiations in connection with these or other lands in the War.toon District and) also of any rroposed exchanges betwe«a the Goverument and Whitaker senior, and any alkged sales to one Praser. Whitaker- agreed) to. the- appointment of the Committee, and gave- a long explanntion of hU connec-'ion witbj the land in question. He proposed' an addition, " that the Committee also report on his claim for compensation for breach of agreement entered into by the Government with hitn in reference to these lands," Murray accepted addition, and the motion passed. The House adjourned ait 5i"30.
