Wood stated that Dr Collis Beowne was undoubtedly the inventor of "CHLORODYNE }" that the story of the defendant Freeman being the investor was deliberately untrue, which he regretted bad been sworn to. -Eminent Hospital Physicians of London stated that Dr J. Oollis Browne was the discoverer of Chlorodyne ; thut they proscribH it largely, and mean no other than Dr Beownk's.— See Timos, of July 12, 1864. The Public, thorefore, are cautioned against using any other than Db J. Collis Bbowne's Chlortdyne. KEMEDIAL USES AND ACTION. Coljusl Beowne's Chlorodyno was administered, the patient recovered." . Extract from the Medical Times, January 12i 1866 ; — "Clorodyne is prescribed by sooros of orthodox medical practitioners. Of course, it would not thus be singularly popular, did t not ' supply a want and fill a place.' " Extract from the General Board of Health, London, as to its efficacy in Cholera :— " So stiongly convinced are of the immense value of this remedy, that we cannot too for« eibly urge the necessity of adopting it in all cases."
