On Tuesday last, the contractors in tho Enterprise tunnel, encountered quartz in the face and which has kept up since, being to-day about 14 inches thick, and bearing altogether the* appearance of the tail end of a block of stove. The appearance or rather the grain nf the quartz is really very favourable for carrying gold, i and I believe sufficient gold is visible to say that it is payable, however, next week will afford a hetter opportuaity of learning more of its character.
