Nelson, August 12.
The cook of the Queen Bee was brought here last uight in tbo steamer Barkley. into which he was transhipped from the steamer Lyttelton, which found him in a little nook qn Durvilles' Island. A very foint cooey was heard, and a hoat wan seni ashore when he was found in an exhausted s^ate, having laid, down fa die. ]$c was on a cliff and saw the others taken by the Manawatu,, but failed to make himself heard. Tho Lyttelton has resumed searching for the third mate.

Senior-Constable Green has returned ' per Eaaby from Sydney, whither he had been sent to identify a man apprehended by the Sydney police on suspicion he was Canning* ham, accused of the Ob.au murder. Gree^ says the man is i\ot Cunninghaii.
