THE INANOAHTH COUNTY COUNCIL, WHEREAS, at a melting held on tho Ist day of August, 1877J pursuant to the powers conferred by Section 107 of the " Counties Act, 1876," ai d in exercise of . the same, of and all o;her powers in this behalf them enabling, resolved that a GENERAL RATE orj all Rateable Property within the said County, for iCarrying into effect the /general purposes of the said Act, should be made and levied in accordance with the provisions of the said Act, and of 'I Tho Rating Act, 1876." And whereas, in and by the said resolution the Council Iresolved that the said Rate should be made and levied as aforesaid for the period of one year from tho day of the making anil levying thereof, and should be paid in oae sum, and that the amount of such rata should be the sum of, ONE SHILLING in the POUND on the values bf the Rateable Property as appearing ia the Valuation Roll now in force in the Cpunty aforesaid. Notice -therefore is hereby! given pursuant to the provisions of thellast mentioned Act that the said Council oJ THURSDAY, the 16th day of August, now instant, intend to make and levy su sh Rate, and to order and direct that the iraount thereof shall be the sum of One Shilling in the Pound on the values aforesaid ; that the said Rate shall bo for the period of One Year from the date of tfte making and levying thereof, and shall be paid in one sum op THURSDAY, the| 27th day of SEPTEMBER, now nest ensuing.
