A CURE FOR SMALL POX AND SCARLET FEVER.
A correspondent of the Hockton Herald (America)- gives th'o followiug cure for small-pox. Cut this out fob future reference. — I herewith. append a receipt, which has been used to my knowledge in hundreds of cases. Pt will prevent or cure the smallpox, even though the pittings are filling. When Jauneiv discovered the cow-pox in England the world of science hurled an avalanche of fame on his head ; but when the most scientific school of | medicine in the world, that of Paris. | published this receipt as a panacea for smallpox it passed unheeded; It is unfailing as fate and conquers id- every instance, It is perfectly harmless when taken by a well person. It will also cure scarlet fever. Here it is as I have used it, and cured many children of the scarlet fever. Hero it, is as I have used it to cure the smallpox when learned physicians said that the patient must die :— Sulphate lof zinc, 1 grain ; (ox glove (digitalis) 1 grain ; | teaspoonful sugar, Mix with two tablespoonfuls water. When the above has been thoroughly mixed add four ounces of water. Take a-teaspoonfnl every hour. Either disease will disappearin twelve hours. For a child Bmaller doses according to age. If countries . would compel physicians to use this, there would be no need of pest-houses. If you value advice and experience, use this for that terrible scourge,
