HOPEFUL.

Thursday, July 20. The last crushing from this mine has given general satisfaction, and a noticeable feature about it is that the stone came from different parts of the mine, and not from any one particular spot. The quantity of stone between No.'s 3 and 4 levels is now proved to be more than was supposed or expocted. Between the two levels there are stopes opened out nearly two hundred feet in length. The ground between the Hopeful and Welcome winze is beiug stoped from the Hopeful winzei the stone from which is superior to anything yet shown in the mine. Within the last few days two new faces of 6,tone were opeued up by th.c manager in a part of tb,e. mine which was previously suppose I to l>e blank, so it wiU be seen tha,t a, little cross-cutting often doe.i n Groat deal in the W«J O.f fauYmg to splendid rc.s^lU.
