KEEP IT-DARK.
A rise has been taken up upon the western branch for over 50. feet, still carrying a good solid body of stone. The new contractors appear now to have everything in good trim, and are sending dovrn an ample supply to keep fifteen stamps employed. The show of amalgam on the plates looks well, .and promises a very satisfactory rt'turu for the present mouth.
