Te[b difficulty about insufficient crush-r---ing power at Caplesfcon is, we are glad to say, in a fair way of solution. At .special meetings of the Juabtin.. Time and $iery Crosa Companies, respectively, held on Monday last, a resolution was carried affirming the desirability of adding an additional ten head of stampers to the present battery and reducing the price of crush" ing to 12s Gd per ton, Under this arrangement the Hopeful Company will be granted, for a period of two, years, the prior. rJght to ten head of stampers for use continuously, should it be required. It only remains now for the Hopeful Company to accept these terms and the work will be proceeded with at once. A general meeting of the shareholders of the latter com^pany has been convened, for the 18th instant, to consider the proposal, and there k no doubt it will be accepted. The cost of the extra plant will, we believe, be about 431500 or £2000.
