Wood stated that Dr Colus Beownk was undoubtedly the inventor of "CIILOBODVNE;*' that the story of the defendant Freertian being the inventor was deliberately untrue, wliich he regretted liad been sworn to. Eminent Hospital Physicians of London stated that Dr J. Collis .Browne was the discoverer of Chlorodyne ; that they prescribed it largely, and mean no other than Dr Bkownk's.— See Times, of July 12, 1864u The Public, therefore, are cautioned against using any other than Dk J. Collis Urowne's Chloridtne. BEMEDIAL USES AND ACTION. This INVALUABLE REMEDY produces quiet refreshing sleep, reMttves pain, calms the system, restores the deranged functions, and stimulates healthy action of the secretions of the body, without creating any of those uupleaeant results attending the use of opium. Montgomery, Esq., lute Inspeetof of Hospitals, , Bombay: "Chlorodyne is a most valuablo remedp in Neuralgia, Asthma, and Dysentery. To it I fairly owe my restoration to health, after eighteen months' severe suffering, and when all other remedies had failed." Dr. Lowe, Medical Missionary in India, reports (December, 1865) :—*• That in nearly every case of Cholera in which Dr. J. CoLLIS Bbownb's Chlorodyne wa9 administered, the patient recoierel." Extract from the Medical Times, January 12, 1866 :— "Clorodyne is prescribed by scores of orthodox medical practitioners. Of course, it would not thus be singularly popular, did t not ' aupply a want and fill a place.' " Extract from the General Board of Health, London, as to its efficacy in Choleia:— "So stiongly convinced are we of the immense value of this remedy, that we cannot too for*. cibly urge the necessity of adopting it in all cases." Beware of spurious and dangerous compounds sold as "Chlorodyne," from which frequent fatal results have followed. fc>ee leading article, Parmaceutical Journal, Ist August, 1869, whicii states that Dr. J.
