WEALTH OF NATIONS.
i At the present time the site presents a scene of great activity, and the work of enlarging the building and preparing for the laying down of a new run of tables is proceeding with excellent progress. The general works at this company's machine house are eartied out in a thoroughly systematic manner, and the marked attention which is exercised on the part of Mr Watson, the Company's general manager, in adopting every possible means for the saving of gold, is worthy of special mention, and the improvements now in course of execution .will be another valuable addition to the gold saving appliances in use at the battery and which may be pronounced as one of the most complete in the district. The berdan which was erected first has> I believe, already paid for itself. There is nothing new this week to ricord from the interior workings.
