POST OFFICE SAVINGS BANKS,
The following ate the regulations for ihe above banks :— 1. Interest at the rate of 4 per cent per fc annum is given on £200 and tinder : at the rate of 8 per cent, per annum on sums under £500 ; and in the same proportion for any shorter time on every complete £1 deposited, provided that no interest be allowed on more than £500, Depositors in the Post Office Savings Banks have direct Government security for the prompt repayment of their money. A depositor in any one of the Post Office Banks can continue his deposits at any other of such Banks, and can withdraw his money at that Post Office Bank which is most convenient to him. 4£Tbe strictest seeresy is observed with ;"■• respect to the names of depositors in v Posts Office Banks, and the amounts of their deposits. 0 IMoney may be deposited by or on behalf of minors. Depositors over seven tears of age are treated as persons oi full age, but minors tinder seven years of age cannot withdraw their deositsj until they have reached the age •even. ijtlicatiopß to the Chief Officer in each Vtoriuce on tbe business/ of Post Office Savings Hanks, and the replies geat tbewto iree from charge or postage.
