THE ASSESSMENT COURT.

[to the editob inangahua times.] Sib.— Having lodged an objection against tbe County Council assessment, I was very much surprised on perusing your last issue to And tbat the list of the objections had been disposed of by the Court, my own not having been heard. Being a subscriber to tbe Times, I carefully watched for some annonncement relating to the sitting of the Court, and seeing none was under tbe impression that |the date had not been fixed. Now what is the effect ? The Court bas opened and closed, and I bave had no opportunity of substantiating my objection, which I was very- desirous of doing, and which I am led to assume has been struck out. I deem this matter of sufficient importance to lay it before the public. I am, &c, Timothy Began. Reefton, March 3, 1877.
