The following paragraph from the Belfast Northern Whig of November 10 will interest our teetotal friends :— " On Wednesday evening a meeting was held in tbe Court-houae, Ballyoabinch, for the purpose of hearing Mr Capper, of the British Temperance League. There were present on the platform the Rev Oc. Hi Shanks, BoardmilU ; Mr Harding, i Napier, New Zealand; Rev John M'llveen, Ballynahinch ; and Mr Capper. After some music from the Ballynahinch Gtood Templar Flute Band, the Rev JohnM'llveeu took the chair, and called on Mr Harding, from New Zealand, who made Borne very interesting remarks on the temperance movement hi that i country."
