Wood stated that Dr Colus Bbownb was undoubtedly the inventor of "CHLORO* DYNE j" that the story of the defendant Freeman being the inventor was deliberately untrue, which he regretted bad been sworn to. Eminent Hospital Physicians of London stated that Dr J. CoLLis Übownb was the discoverer of Chlorodyue ; that they preseribH it largely, and mean n« other than Dr Beowns's.-— See Times, of July 12, 1864 The Public, therefore, are cautioned against using any other than Dv J. Collis Browne's Chloeodtne. KEMEDIAL USES AND ACTION. This INVALUABLE REMEDY produces quiet refreshing sleep, relieves pain, calms the system, restores the deranged functions, and stimulates healthy action of the secretions of the body, without creating j any of those unpleasaut results attending the use of opium. Montgomery, Esq., kte Inspector of Hospitals, ,3om bay : "Chlorodyne is a most valuable rcinedp in Neuralgia, Asthma, and Dysentery. To it I fairly owe my restoration to health, after eighteen months' severe suffering, and when all other remedies had failed." Dr. Lowe, Medical Missionary in India, reports (December, 1865) :— •' That in nearly every case of Cholera in which Dr. J. Collis Browne's Chlorodyne was administered, the patient recovered" Extract from the Medical Times, January 12, 1866 : — "Clorodyne is prescribed by scores of orthodox medical practitioners. Of course, it would not thus be singularly popular, did t not ' supply a want und fill a place.' " Extract from tbe General Board of Health, London, as to its efficacy in Choleia: — "So stiongly convinced are we of the immense value of this remedy, that we cannot too forcibly urge the necessity of adopting it in all cases." Beware of spurious and dangerous compounds sold as "Chlorodyue," from which frequent fatal results have followed. bee leading article, Partnaceutical Journal, Ist August, 1869, which states that Dr. J.
