The Yorkshire Post says :— John Cawdron, a publican, after seconding, at a meeting held in Norwich, a resolution expressing horror at the atrocities com minted by the Turks m Bulgaria, went home and knocked his wife about with a clock-weighf till she was eorered with bruises from head to foot. Me was sen* tenced to six months' imprisonment by the magistrates.
