WHANGAREI MINERS.

(Special to “ 1.U.)

An enthusiastic outdoor meeting was held here to-day by delegates from the Miners’ Union. A resolution strongly condemning the arrest of leaders and protesting against forcing men under the Arbitration Act was carried, with a few interjections. The Tailors held a meeting on Saturday to consider the present strike. Sympathy with the strikers was expressed, and a heavy levy struck. A donation of £SO was handed over for Ihe strike fund.
