NOTES
Auckland LW.’s, a month ago, challenged Parson Elliot to make good his statements about the I.W.W. and the Los Angelos Times. The challenge has not been accepted; the lie can be considered nailed. It was stated in our last issue
that letters refuting the parson’s statements had been sent to the Auckland Star, but had not appeared. The letters were printed in an issue of the Star appearing later on the same day as the “ I.TJ.” —10 days after the lies were printed. If this is a retractation the Star is welcome to it.
The Industrial Unionist receives articles which, though otherwise good, are either too long or deal with too many subjects. If writers keep articles within reasonable lengths, cut out words not needed, and try to keep to one subject, it helps matters here. News items, press cuttings, and concise reports are welcomed as well as articles.
It is up to all rebels to push the Industrial Unionist, and to all workers to support it. The Labour papers are the chief check on the capitalist press. The “ I.TJ.” is one of the very few papers run by workers. Active assistance in extending the circulation is of more value than donations.
