Auckland Organiser’s Notes
It is interesting to note that, despite the attractions offered by other campaigners, the Auckland local of the I.W.W. is growing rapidly; which is as it should be. Clear-cut industrialist propaganda evidently appeals to the Auckland workers.
Frequently we have I.W. W. men from America calling in, and they often do good work demonstrating, from experience, the international phase of the trust and its operations in Australasia. Recent visitors to the Auckland Branch were Fellow-worker E. J. B. Allen, from England: two French industrialists, from Frisco; and Fellowworker Hardy, from Victoria, B.C. The I.W.W. is holding four and five large meetings weekly in this district. Wednesday nights are reserved for a meeting at Wellesley Street corner.
Intending members are notified that the business meeting takes place every Tuesday at 28, Swanson Street (old Trades Hall), 7.45 p.m. Wage workers can be nominated and initiated, and sign the Constitution. They can get into harness right away. Members are particularly requested to take a bundle of Industrial Unionists monthly and sell them; this would relieve the committee. If sufficient support is forthcoming there is no reason why the. paper should not be ■weekly within a few months.
ft is gratifying to know that Fellow-worker Patrick (late of Waihi) is now out of hospital and feeling well.
The I.W.W. is in N.Z. to stay. We hope soon to have an organiser
out, and to have locals in othei centres. Keep moving !
