Exactly, Taft ! We agree with you. It is the workers in the industries who run the industries now; it will be the workers who will do so in the future. What we are after is ownership of the industries by the people who work them. We can get this by organising for that purpose, industrially.
Capitalists are not string enough to chain the bodies of their wage workers, blit they are shrewd enough to enslave their minds. Moral codes are used to make them act as their masters desire.”
We do not object to the capitalist because he is a capitalist. The dog does not object to the flea because he is a flea, but to the way in which he gets his living,
