Your “ private and confidential” note has fallen into the hands of men who care not a snap of flic fingers for you and all your scheming. Furthermore, we 'have no compunction in appending what may prove invaluable hints, and determine the direction of your holy meditations. Xof a bene :

Place your police and your soldiers in all strike-affected areas, and order them to bludgeon, shoot and kill—as was done in Christian England. Subsidise violence-provokers and dynamite-planters, to act so that all blame can be attached to Labour officials—as was done in free America.

Exile, dungeon, or hang, every agitator, known or merely suspected—as was done in Holy Russia.

Obey every brutish dictate of the infamous conscience of vour class, and. after your worst has been done, rebels, agitators and strikes will increase in hundredfold-rapid proportion, or facts lie. Poverty is the sole cause of Working Class discontent. Low wages mean Poverty, and You are the personal factor responsible for low wages. But, however high and mighty you may conceive yourselves to be, you haven’t even the power to abolish Poverty and exist as a class. Poverty gone, you’re gone; for it is part and parcel of the Capitalist system of production which Socialists. Syndicalists. Industrialists and Anarchists are determined to hasten to the dust. Who was it said these fellows were arbitrationists ? Strikes us they were merely scabs.
