A Brush with the Police
Sydney local held special outdoor meetings at Darlinghurst, Tuesday, December 24th, speakers, Fellow-workers T. Glvnn, G. Reeve, AY. Keep and Will O’Keefe. At Darlinghurst, Deember 26th. C. Anglegark, J. Gillingham and A. Bukley. At Darlinghurst, December 27th, O’Keefe. Reeve and Glynn. D. Grant acted as chairman.
These meetings were held as a protest against the action of the police in arresting T. Glynn for “ offensive behaviour.” The case against Fellow-worker Glynn was dismissed by the Magistrate on Friday, December 20th. The usual Sunday meetings were held in the Domain (afternoon) and at Bathurst (evening). D. Grant, A. AlcPherson and G. Reeve were the sjfhakers.
