I. W. W. Activities

Tiie Adelaide and Sydney locals are carrying on steady propaganda work. Several new locals are known to be in embryo in Australia and New Zealand. There is plenty of good material throughout this continent; all that is required is the right “ dope” and plenty of good propagandists to deal it out. There is a need for more good organisers here, as well as in America. The Sandwich Islands local is doing good work. Needless to say, the main branch of the I.WAV. lias its hands full, and the Canadian and British Columbian branches are kept busy and lively. Several 1 .WAV. strikes are on in America, and others are brewing. The organisation there is growing very fast. The organisation in New Zealand is small, but virile ; it is only in the propaganda stage, and will be for some time to come. The Auckland recruiting local has steadily grown since it was formed by twenty-five local workers 12 months ago. During that time it has published two leaflets and circularised all the N.Z: unions twice—once on behalf of Ettor and Uiovannitti. It has also addressed some of the local unions, and kept up the week-end meetings regularly since the start. It now has the charter for New Zealand administration.
